Centro Storico

The Greek grid of the decumani, with most of the churches, the MANN, the underground tours and the pizza. The best base for a first trip, if you can live with scooters and late voices.

Via Toledo and Municipio

The central shopping street and the port square: Molo Beverello, Castel Nuovo, the San Carlo and Plebiscito within ten minutes, and the old town a short walk up. Not pretty, very practical.

The elegant district between the seafront and the Vomero hill: designer shops, bar lanes, the Villa Comunale gardens. A grown-up base with good evenings; the old town is a 25-minute walk.
