Concettina ai Tre Santi opened in 1951 in Rione Sanità, at Via Arena della Sanità 7 bis. Ciro Oliva, the fourth generation, has run it since 2014 and turned it into a destination for food travelers from all over the world: hand-painted ceramics, a basil plant on every table, a garden, a wine list with many bottles and merchandise on the back of the menu.
Prices have followed. When Scatti di Gusto reviewed it on April 23, 2026, a margherita was €12 (up €1 since their previous visit), the marinara, the cheapest pizza, €10, and the pizza fritta €18. Unlike most famous pizzerias, it takes bookings, by phone.

What to order
Order the pizza fritta. In the April 2026 review it was the best pizza of the three tested: a large half-moon served cut in three, filled with cicoli, buffalo ricotta di fuscella, pepper, smoked provola and tomato, crisp outside and dry rather than greasy. At €18 it is a pizza for two or three people to share. See our pizza fritta page for the style.
The same review found the margherita disappointing (uneven stretch, pale base, raw-tasting tomato) and the marinara aromatic but scorched in places. The marinara is served with a small ritual: the waiter crumbles oregano over it at the table. The house specialty for sharing is Sott' e 'ngopp, built around a fried montanara with the Oliva family's sauce. There are also tasting menus, including a nine-course blind tasting.
Pizzeria or showroom?
Scatti di Gusto asked the question itself in 2026: is Concettina still a pizzeria, or the perfect stop for a high-spending visitor looking for the feeling of Naples? The service is quick, multilingual and well trained, and the room handles large numbers. The wine and spirits list is long; a 2023 Dissapore review found glasses of rum up to €120 and spent €69 for two at lunch, with drinks at €36 of that.
None of that is a reason to avoid it. It is a reason to know what you are paying for. For a classic margherita at half the price, walk to Starita in nearby Materdei.
Booking and timing
Phone ahead on +39 081 290037; Michelin lists the pizzeria as handling its own reservations. Without one, you are not doomed: the Scatti di Gusto team walked in at about 8:30 p.m. on a spring evening in 2026 and found the room only partly full, with orders taken and pizzas out fast. That was one evening, so book if your plans depend on it.
In the Scatti di Gusto league of Campania pizzerias, Concettina finished 16th in 2025 and was among the 16 pizzerias in contention again in 2026.
Fitting it into the Sanità
Concettina sits on Via Arena della Sanità, the neighborhood's main street, and the Catacombs of San Gennaro are in the same district. Poppella, home of the fiocco di neve, is on the same street at number 29. The pizzeria is a natural lunch stop on our Rione Sanità walk, and the Oliva family runs its own guided neighborhood experience from the pizzeria.
