The Grand Hotel Santa Lucia has faced the bay from Via Partenope 46 since 1906. It sits between the Grand Hotel Vesuvio and the Eurostars Hotel Excelsior, looking over the road to Castel dell'Ovo and the Borgo Marinari. The hotel describes itself as a four-star and belongs to the Preferred Hotels & Resorts group.
On Kayak on September 30, 2026, the cheapest double for October 14, 2026 was €363 room only. For November 11 it was €293 with breakfast and free cancellation. Both include taxes and fees. That November rate was the cheapest breakfast-included seafront double we found on the strip.

The October gap is large: €95 between the room-only and the flexible breakfast rate. In November it shrinks to €46. If your dates are fixed, pay for flexibility; if you are sure, the room-only rate plus a bar breakfast nearby is the cheaper way.
What you get
A traditional seafront hotel. The hotel says its rooms and suites have been recently renovated, and Kayak's listing puts it at 88 rooms. Food and drink run through Il Pavone, a bar and restaurant on site. There is no pool or spa listed, which separates it from the Vesuvio's indoor pool.
As at its neighbors, sea view is not guaranteed at the entry price. The classic rooms on the first screen of results were not labelled sea view. If you want to wake up to the castel, pay for a sea-view category and get it in writing.
Location and walking times
By OpenStreetMap foot routing, Piazza del Plebiscito and the Palazzo Reale are 11 minutes (850 m) away, Molo Beverello 21 minutes (1.6 km) and Piazza del Gesu Nuovo 30 minutes (2.2 km). The Lungomare walk passes the door, and Chiaia's bars are a short walk inland.

Tax and parking
The Comune di Napoli charges €6 per person per night at four-star hotels since May 1, 2026, for guests over 14 and up to 14 consecutive nights. Kayak lists valet parking; the hotel's site does not publish a price. By contrast the Excelsior next door publishes its garage deal (€30 to €50 a day), so compare before you arrive by car.
Who it suits
Travellers who want the seafront and breakfast included without five-star prices, and who are coming in a quieter week.
